The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render services into the community.

SASSA will be rendering solutions for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency said it's alarmed about the large range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly as a result of website lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office committed to service the area regularly. The support place developed for status sassa intervention experiences a large inflow of potential beneficiaries, SRD which makes it tricky for the office to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra sources to permit the servicing of all shoppers and increase entry to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
